She was detained, along with her husband and six others, for aiding and abetting an organised syndicate that specialised in tampering with and stealing from oil pipelines.
ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the force’s public relations officer, told a news conference in Abuja that the feat was part of the IGP’s special task force on petroleum and illicit bunkering, which aims to improve the Nigeria Police Force’s anti-oil theft activities.
According to him, the Nigerian Navy has received significant support through the NPF marine unit, including the purchase of an extra twenty vessels for the marine unit, which would be delivered soon.
The force’s public relations officer further stated that the IGP has charged the heads of all tactical units with ensuring the timely prosecution of suspects and the forfeiture of stolen items, products, and exhibits.
