The Progressive Young Leaders Summit 2024 will be hosted by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu from September 3–5, 2024, in the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
Dr. Dayo Israel, the National Youth Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), made this remark to reporters on Friday. Vice President Senator Kashim Shettima will formally inaugurate the three-day event, “Shaping the Future We Want: From Restiveness to Inclusion, Action, and Development,” which will take place from September 3–5, 2024.
The summit, according to the APC leader, is aimed at directing the ambitions and energies of young Nigerians towards creating a future that symbolises their shared objectives. It was organised by the ruling APC in association with the Office of the APC National Youth Leader.
He stated that the summit will bring together a prominent group of Nigerian public and private sector leaders, government officials, policymakers, and vibrant young executives, and that a communiqué will be given to President Tinubu at its conclusion, according to The Nation.
He went on to say that the event’s goals are to create a bridge between the younger generation and the government, encourage intergenerational conversation, and provide young Nigerians a forum to actively participate in President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
The three-day program, “Shaping the Future We Want: From Restiveness to Inclusion, Action, and Development,” intends to provide young Nigerians with the tools they need to actively participate in determining the direction of their nation’s development agenda.
The summit will be officially opened by Vice President Senator Kashim Shettima. Ministerial Town Hall meetings will be held during the summit, giving attendees the chance to speak with government representatives directly about important topics like economic development, technology, and education.
The All Progressives Congress, in partnership with Dr. Dayo Israel, the APC National Youth Leader’s office, is organising the event, which is anticipated to draw more than 3,000 attendees from all around the country.
