Members of the Zamfara State branch of the All Progressives Congress received 15 trailer loads of fertiliser as a gift from Dr. Bello Matawalle, the minister of state for defence.
The chairman of the APC’s state chapter, Tukur Danfulani, gave the minister’s gift to the party secretary.
As part of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s agricultural transformation initiative, the commodity will be distributed to APC members throughout the state, according to a statement made on Sunday by the party’s publicity secretary, Alhaji Idris.
Danfulani predicted that the state’s agricultural output, economic growth, and development will all be enhanced by the Minister’s gesture to the APC.
He clarified that the Minister had received a portion of the fertiliser from the federal government and added that he had bought more trucks to support the government’s agricultural efforts in order to guarantee a bumper crop during the upcoming wet farming season.
“With the sole purpose of supporting farmers, all 15 trailers will be distributed free of charge to all identified beneficiaries,” he declared.
Danfulani expressed his gratitude for the gesture to the Minister, who also serves as the state party head.
He noted that Matawalle maintained tight relationships with every party member while serving as governor, which aided in maintaining harmony among the party’s leaders and adherents.
The chairman promised that the fertiliser will get to the party members via passing through each of the state’s 14 local government districts’ 147 wards.
He pleaded with other leaders to instill the same kindness among the state’s citizens.
Members and executives of the Party State Working Committee, as well as select ward executives and local government executives, party elders, young people, and other important stakeholders from throughout the state, would benefit from the gift.
The state’s party members were praised by the chairman for their endurance and cooperation.
“This gesture is making the party more popular and acceptable among people of the state,” Danfulani said in closing.
