Kwara Must Change, a pro-democracy organisation, has established a think tank called the Post Otoge Project (POP2027) to draft a policy statement for the administration that will follow “O to ge.”
Dr. Mopelola AbdulMalik-Bashir, a well-known pro-democracy activist in the state and the immediate former commissioner for women affairs, was also named by Kwara Must Change to lead the POP2027 think tank.
Recall that the Peoples Democratic Party’s 16-year rule in the state was overthrown by the All Progressives Congress, which developed the “O to ge” movement to win the 2019 elections.
“POP2027 think tank will develop a policy direction for the next administration to consolidate the gains of Kwara liberation, strengthen weaknesses identified in the current system, expand the scope of governance coverage, enhance the economic capacity of the state, sustain data-based developmental approach, build more human capacity and rebuild political capacity,” the group said in a statement signed by the Convener, Abdulrazaq Hamzat, on Sunday.

Thus, Kwara Must Change is dedicated to creating a development-based political system in which concerns about development and governance serve as the focal points of political discourse.
