According to reports, gunmen shot and seized goods and valuables from a business owner on Tuesday.
This incident took place at Amawaire in Orji, in the Imo state’s Owerri North Council Area.
Meanwhile, the gunmen set fire to a truck that was allegedly owned by the Imo State Waste Management Agency as they fled.
He stated, “The shop owner bought Mercedes Benz, yesterday being (Monday)” according to an eyewitness.
Before long, he was driving to his shop. Before you knew it, he was being fired at by gunmen who had broken into his shop and assaulted him. They stole his belongings and money after robbing him.
The same gunmen reportedly targeted a vehicle that belonged to the Imo State Waste Management Agency, according to a second witness who wished to remain anonymous. They were yelling for everyone to stay inside. The advice is to stay at home. Don’t go demonstrate outside. Nothing compares to a demonstration.
Henry Okoye, the Public Relations Officer for the Imo State Police, responded by saying: “Police Operatives have been massively deployed at Orji.” Everything is under control. There is no doubt that the attackers’ miscreants will face consequences.
